Hi everyone!!!!!!

On the World Race, our squad of 39 people is split into 6 teams one of those is team El Perseguido. Team El Perseguido, or team Guido, is all 8 of the guys on the squad and our team leader. We come from all over the country and have grown to love and care abundantly for each other. Through Gainesville, Samaritan’s purse, and now Guatemala our team has created a brotherhood that will last the rest of our lives.

So here are the people I’m going to be spending the rest of my race with…

Caleb Terry

Caleb is 18 years old and is from Walworth, New York. Besides being taller than everyone on the squad combined, Caleb has many attributes that define him. He has a passion for unity on our team and is always bringing great wisdom to our team. He was baptized in lake lanier on our second week of training camp back in September.

Ben States

Ben is 19 years old and lives in O’Fallon, a town near St. Louis, MO. Ben States may be one of the funnier people I know but his passion for getting to know people on a deeper and more personal level is stronger than I’ve seen in anyone in my life. If you’re ever going through something this man wants to know and be there with you through it.

Clayton Camp

Clayton is our team leader and is 20 years old. He lives 10 minutes from my house in Sugar Hill, GA. Clayton went on the world race in 2020-2021, last year, and went to Costa Rica and the Dominican republic. He has many passions including flower pressing, drinking coffee, and worshiping our savior. Even though most of the other team leaders will be leaving us in December, God has blessed us with letting Clayton stay with us for the rest of the World Race.

Jack Boone Gallaway

Jack Boone is 20 years old and is from College Grove Tennessee. If you ever get the pleasure of meeting this amazing man in person the first thing you’ll notice about him is the joy that radiates from him and his love for people that comes from his love for his father. No matter the situation he will never complain and will bring our team through the valleys even if he has to drag us through them himself.

Luke Petersen

Luke is 18 years old and is from West Alexandria, Ohio. Coming into the race Luke told us that at first, it was not his plan to come on the race at all. But God had a different plan for him. Listening to God and trusting that God knows what’s best for him he’s now part of team Guido. This trust in the Lord is something that Luke lives out daily in his life. He is always on fire for God and what God wants in his life. His wisdom and trust in the Lord has inspired the whole team to do the same.

Zach Flowers

Zach is 20 years old and is from Carrollton, Illinois. After spending 2 years in college Zach felt a calling for something greater in his life. That calling has to lead him to join our team. Zach has intentionality to him that allows him to listen to people and care what they have to say, taking in every word said and processing it. He takes time to create intentional answers. His awe and fear for the lord are stronger than any 20-year old I’ve met in my life.

 Phil Forbes

Phil is 19 years old and is from Terrace Park, Ohio. With the last name Forbes, Phil has been destined for greatness. his strong work ethic has made him become a feen for God and he can’t get enough time with him a day. Phil’s strong sense of reasoning and problem thinking helps our team get through conflicts and helps us solve problems together as a team.

Will Edmondson

Will is 18 years old and is from Raleigh North Carolina. Will’s past in being a camp counselor makes him perfect to work with kids in kids ministry. His outgoing personality makes everyone feel appreciated and valued. Will’s outgoing personality makes his ministry seem like he’s been doing it for years and makes all of the kids feel loved and no one feels left out.

  3. Yasssss!! Josiah, I’ve been waiting on one of these blogs from Team El Perseguido! You paint your teammates in beautiful light, and you are right: y’all are growing a brotherhood that will last far beyond your time together on the Race. My son, Nathan, did his Race in 2019-20, and they all spent nearly two hours on a FaceTime call together last week. They continue to be as iron sharpening iron for one another, pointing ever and always to Jesus. He is their common bond that cannot be broken. Enjoy these months together through both the joys and the challenges. You are so blessed to have one another through this journey. Thanks for sharing.
